It's tough being the little brother!

Before Grant was born I had hoped for another boy so Wes could have a brother.  It's been so much fun to watch these two interact, especially now that Grant's personality is really starting to show.   They can fight one minute and then go straight into being best buddies without missing a beat.

Today when I picked up Wes from school he was so excited that his teacher had brought him a sucker from her recent trip to Disney. He wanted to eat it first thing in the car so I opened it up and handed it back to him.  Grant likes Mickey Mouse so Wes was very sweet and wanted to let him have a taste.  He hands it over to Grant who of course pops the whole thing in his mouth and puts a death grip on it and won't give it back.  Wes was tears, Grant was in tears... all while I'm trying to drive.  I managed to reach back and pry it out of Grant's little chubby fingers and hand the sucker back to Wes.  Grant melted down screaming "Me-MOUSEEEE" the rest of the way home.  Meanwhile, I was trying to not let my laughing be too obvious.  I'm guessing next time Wes will not be so quick to share with that little stinker!

Then when we get home and Wes takes off his shoes I noticed his socks are only covering half his feet.  We can't seem to keep his wardrobe in line with all his growing these days.  I tell him those socks are too small and he needs to put them in Grant's sock basket next time.  Wes says, "I'll just give them to him now."  He proceeds to take Grant's shoes and socks off and shove his sweaty socks onto Grant's feet but you can tell Grant thinks it's the greatest.  Later when I was getting Grant ready for his nap he points to his feet with a big smile and says "Wes Gock-es (Socks)"

The sock exchange.
