A typical Saturday morning.

Our Saturdays all start out the same:

7am. Wes dressed and ready for the day in our bed asking way too many questions.  This boy loves saturdays!

We cooked some breakfast, relaxed and headed out to try a new park that was a big hit! I've got to give it the music city they have some really good parks and were ready for warmer weather so we can enjoy them more.

Funny Sayings of Wes

Wes has really been talking up a storm lately.  In fact he NEVER stops which is exhausting! If he does stop that usually means you better check on what he's up to.  Here are a few of the funny things he's said:

While watching a movie the other night, they said something about a women and he turns to me and says "Mom, I need a woman."

While dressed up like Buzz lightyear:  "Mom you be woody,  Where's your woody dress? You could ask for one for christmas!"

Wes and I had gone to the zoo so when Jon got home I told him to tell Daddy what we had done that day.  to which Wes exclaimed- "We went to Disney World!"  I think we'll just play along with that one and save lots of money over the years!

I asked Wes what he learned about in Bible class and he told me Barbie and Ken.  (They had learned about Adam and Eve and had a Barbie and Ken doll)   Too much toy story???

While putting him to bed one night:  "Mom there's nothing scared about,  Travis keeps monsters away."

When we get onto him for talking back or saying something not nice he'll say.  "Ohhh I was just kidding."
I think that only got him out of trouble the first few times, we've caught on now.

Growing up too fast

What is it about a haircut that makes kids instantly look older?  I took Wes last week to get a haircut and he acted like such a big boy.  He climbed up the chair, and sat super still. At one point the barber was trying to get him to look down so I went over and stood by him and Wes said "No mom, you go back and sit down."

            I'm embarrassing him already, oh how I dread the teenage years, for so many reasons!

Weekend trip

We took a trip to Birmingham last weekend. I only took one picture the entire weekend but the one I got was priceless. Wes was so happy to see his buddy brooks and man are they a pair!

Christmas with all the Family

We were very blessed this year to get to see every member of our families over the Holiday Season.  We started in Murfreesboro, headed south to Birmingham then ended the holiday in Cleveland.  Wes had a blast playing with all the cousins and 2nd cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, too!  In fact after all the festivities were over and we were headed home he kept asking "Where are we going?" and "Who am I gonna play with?" Overall we had a great holiday and took lots of pictures here are just some highlights...

I guess that means Christmas was a success!
